It was a bright, sunny day over the Sea of Japan. There were birds flying by, a few clouds in the sky, and there was a small news copter hovering over the scene of a crime. “This is Watanabe Hina coming to you live from the Sea of Japan, where we are witnessing the biggest hostage situation ever pulled on the high seas!” the camera panned over to show what looked like a giant mermaid resting her arms and chest on a research ship like it was just a pool floaty. The mermaid herself had red, spiky hair that was swept forward in a tomboyish haircut. She was wearing a jacket that looked like it was fashioned from the top half of a scuba diving suit, and sure enough, she had a gigantic mermaid tail that had dull, gray scales, like a shark.
